How to Get Your Ford Radio Code
Recovering your 4-digit security pin with us is easy, just provide your radio serial number and we will calculate your unlock code on screen.

Finding Your Serial
We need your radio serial so we can calculate your unlock code, below are 3 methods (2 easy and 1 medium difficulty) to help you find your radio serial number.
Method 1
Turn on your car radio then press and hold down 1 & 6 buttons until you see the displayed text changing.
Your radio serial should show up in the cycle process, it starts with V or M and has 6 numbers after it, for example: V000111.
Unlock RadioMethod 2
Switch your radio on, then press and hold 2 & 6 buttons together until you see the displayed text changing.
You should see your radio serial show up in the cycle process at some point, it starts with V or M and has 6 numbers after it, for example: V000111.
Generate PinMethod 3
If all else fails, you can use radio removal tools to get the radio out and find the serial number engraved on the unit or on the printed label.
Unfortunately, with some radio models like the Ford Travelpilot, this is the only way to find your radio serial.
Calculate CodeImportant note: Some radio models may display the serial number with a prefix before it, for example: FDC2005M175326 – when this happens, you would just enter M175326.

This depends on the radio unit you have in your Ford, however, there are currently 3 known methods for getting your radio serial number, method 1 is by pressing and holding 1 & 6 buttons until the display text starts moving (then your serial will appear at some point within a few minutes), method 2 is by pressing and holding 2 & 6 buttons until the display text starts moving (then your serial will appear at some point within a few minutes), and method 3 is by using radio release keys to partly remove your head unit allowing you to locate the printed label or engraved serial number on the box.
This depends on the radio model, but most of the time you can find the radio serial number by pressing and holding 1 & 6 or 2 & 6 together until the screen text starts moving, you will then find the radio serial number at a random point in the text movement process, it usually starts V or M followed by 6 numbers, e.g., V000111.
This will depend on the radio model, but generally speaking, if your radio unit is a Travelpilot you will need to remove the unit to find the engraved serial on the box or printed label (using method 3 shown above).
The wait message simply means a wrong 4-digit unlock code was entered, if this happens and you received the unlock code from us, we would advise getting in touch with us and providing your radio serial number and the code you entered again before making any further code entry attempts.
This indicated that 10 wrong unlock codes were entered into the unit, if this happens, there’s a trick that will allow you to have a FINAL 3 code entry attempts, simply hold down the number 6 button until the code entry screen appears again. Please note, after the final 3 attempts your radio will be permanently locked so enter at your own risk.
If your radio says “LOCKED13” its mean’s the unit is permanently locked because 13 incorrect unlock codes have been entered. If this happens, you have 2 options, take the radio to a main dealership or it may be cheaper to buy a similar used or new radio online.
No, unfortunately there’s no way for us to provide your radio unlock code from the vehicle registration or VIN. We can however provide your unlock code from serial number instantly.
Yes, once we have issued your original 4-digit unlock code, there’s no limited to the number of times you can use it. Also, your code will not change unless your radio unit gets modified.
